The Horticultural Scoiety has been going for many years and holds a plant sale usually in May and a Flower Show in September each year.  Always great days out with lots of trophies to win.  While the show is a great success, fresh ideas and new members are always welcome so  do please get in touch

On the committee are:

  • Jo Oliver - President
  • Betty McTier
  • J Jacek
  • Sara Mackinnon
  • Alison Stewart
  • Margot Porter
  • Avril Spray

Here are some photos taken at the 2010 Annual Flower Show.  As well as flowers and plants, there are a range of classes both for locals and for the experts, not forgetting a special children's section.

Main local winners this year were ex EDCC chairman David Pye who now lives in Peebles and Margot Porter.  In the junior section, congratulations to Matthew Oliver and Adam and Robbie Smellie

Prizes were pressented by Minister Calum McDougall of Eddleston Parish Church.  With thanks to everyone who took part and helped to make the show a success.  Next year's show is on Saturday 3rd September 2011
