Eddleston is a delightful conservation village in the soft rolling Borders countryside, only four miles from the county town of Peebles and eighteen miles south of Edinburgh. We are well situated for both city and local shopping, tourist and leisure activities. Eddleston is made up of the village itself plus quite a number of surrounding farms. In 2001 (the latest census data available) there were 129 households with a total population of 335 split 47% male and 53% female. I wonder what changes we will see in the 2011 figures - though it's now 2016, these figures aren't easy to come by in an easy to interpret form
This is our community website developed thanks to the generosity of Awards for All, Scottish Borders Council and OnLine Borders. Please have a look around for more information
We have excellent local facilities including the primary school, church and village hall. There is a thriving local community with clubs and activities for all ages from pre-school to senior citizens. More details in our Clubs and Activities section
We will be noting upcoming events on the website so if you have an event you would like to publicise, just let us know
