Sixty residents and family members of Eckford Parish celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a BBQ and garden party. It was a delight to see a great turnout including guests from Kalemouth, Grahamslaw and Bowmont Forest as well as those located in and closer to the village.
The event was organised by Eckford Village Hall Committee and hosted by Ray & Candy Jones who gave over their garden for the day and provided the BBQ ingredients. As always committee members and residents rallied to the cause with various dishes to add to the flavour of the event. A small grant from Scottish Borders Council Queens Jubilee Fund assisted with some of the costs (see logos attached.
Thanks to John Campbell for taking photographs of the event to mark the occasion and retain a visual record of the event.
