Last week saw an enthusiastic work party consisting of Melrose in Bloom members, pupils from St Mary's School and the council's Countryside Ranger undertaking some work to encourage wild life in the Nutwood.
The pupils helped to created wildlife habitats and leant a hand while Keith, the Countryside Ranger, shinned up the ladder to instal bird and bat boxes.
We can't wait to see what creatures make this their home!
The children were interested spectators while Keith did the tricky job of fixing the boxes on the trees.
Melrose in Bloom were delighted to be invited to a Civic Reception ...
We had a sell out in the Melrose Corn Exchange for the recording ...
All members welcome to our monthly meeting in the Ormiston Rooms, ...
