You will find us in the Shopping Arcade, Stand No. 806.
Everyday there are Demonstrations on stickmaking.
There is a wide range of sticks for sale. Any members wishing to sell sticks on our Stand at the Highland Show, please contact the Secretary by Thurs 7th June ’12 at the latest.
Competitions ; Raffle and a competition to guess how long to make a walking stick, the prize stick will be at the show.
Payment is by cash or cheque, sorry we cannot accept any cards.

Our 5th workshop will be held for a second year at Cumnock Congregational Church hall, Auchinleck Road, Cumnock KA18 1RE, 10 am to 4.30pm

We have champion and professional stickmakers demonstrating all day, if you have a question on stickmaking, then this is your chance to get the answer.

The 4th workshop held at Cumnock Congregational Church hall, Cumnock, 10 am to 4.30pm
A full house of 50 attendees on the day.
We had champion and professional stickmakers demonstrating all day, many questions on stickmaking and a good day had by all.
Demonstrators for the day; Dane Love, Drew Oliver, Philip Roskell – Highland Show Champion 2011, Martin Trinder, Arthur Dent. Sadly Dennis and Linda could not attend on the day as advertised, we were grateful to Colin Shand from Inch , Aberdeenshire, a Chip Carver who very kindly came along to show his skills.

There were demonstrations on various aspects of stickmaking.
Fifty one people registered to come along on the day, to learn many of the skills it takes to make and finish walking sticks. A very enjoyable day was had by all who attended and our thanks are passed on to the people who demonstrated and helped on the day.
Update from Workshopheld at Crailing Hall on 6th Dec 08;
We had a very successful day with 37 people attended the Workshops to learn the various aspects of stickmaking. A big thank you to all for supporting the venue and our appreciation and thanks go to our Demonstrators on the day.
