Whitsome Ark is a light, modern community facility serving the needs of the local community. It was officially opened on 5th September 2009 by the Lord Lieutenant of Berwickshire.
It is a major new resource for the people of the community of Whitsome and it comprises a Main Hall, Meeting Room, Community Shop and Cafe area. There is of course a modern fully fitted and equipped kitchen and toilet facilities which include a fully accessible toilet with shower. Wifi internet access is available throughout the building.
Whitsome parish is in the Merse area of Berwickshire within the Scottish Borders and the village stands in the centre of the parish. The parish has a population of some 200, spread amongst approximately 120 dwellings in the area.
Whitsome Ark is run by a voluntary management committee, mainly for the people of Whitsome but bookings from outside people and organisations are very welcome.
