What is a community website?
Online Borders provides Community Websites to groups which offer services or activities in the Scottish Borders. These websites are available free and are particularly for community and voluntary organisations. All we ask is that you have some good ideas and the time to enter and update content, the words and pictures for your website.
The system is easy to use and training and support are provided free. Your groups must be not for profitâ„¢, be constituted, and be able to identify someone who will be responsible for your site. You must also agree to the Online Borders content terms and conditions.
Why would I want a Community Website?
A Community Website provides the opportunity for you to tell the world about your service or activity! It can keep members informed, publicise your events, help to recruit volunteers, tell people how to book premises and much much more.
How can I get a Community Website?
Organisations requesting Community Websites must have an entry in the Online Borders Directory. Please follow the instructions in the Login/Register section on how to do this before applying for a website, then fill in the request form below. Once you have completed the form, we will contact you to arrange training.
What are you waiting for?
