The Royal Burgh of Jedburgh and its surrounding area in the Scottish Borders is twinned with Malestroit, an attractive medieval town on the banks of the Nantes-Brest Canal in Brittany.
The initial Twinning visit was to Malestroit 1994 where nearly 100 people including both Jedforest Instrumental band and Royal British Legion Pipe band joinied the initial ceremonial visit. Over the past 20 years a number of official exchange visits have taken place and enduring friendships made.
The twinning links are supported by the work of the Jedburgh and District Twinning Association and COJEM, the European Twinning Committee for Malestroit and District.
