Cheviot parents achieve with SQA qualifications: mums from Jedburgh and Kelso with their new SQA awards. Adults can study for qualifications in English or Maths up to Level 4, with short units available in Calculation, Writing, Measuring and more - a good step for anyone who missed out on qualifications first time round - for whatever reason. Howdenburn parents rolled up their sleeves to participate in Flying Start, a 6 week course on learning through play. The Borders Adult Learners Awards takes place each year to celebrate the achievement of adult learners in the region. Entry is open to post-school learners who are currently resident in the Borders. The Awards aim to recognise the achievements of adults who, at times against considerable odds, take their future into their own hands and benefit from the opportunities available to enhance their knowledge, quality of life and job prospects.
