Having opened in December 2008 after being acquired by The Fisherman's Arms (Birgham) Limited, a company whose shareholders are exclusively villagers, the pub opened to a flurry of activity that has largely continued unabated since then. With it's homely atmosphere, good food and friendly staff it has become a regular haunt for many people outwith the village. Good beer - Belhaven Best, Guiness, Tennant's Lager and Stowford Press Cider with a rotating selection of real ales (Speckled Hen, IPA, Edinburgh Gold, Avalanche and others) and a fine selction of wines with well cooked local produce has made the pub a roaring success and has set the standard for other pubs in the area to aspire to. Come in - you'll not be disappointed!
The Village Hall - Ok it's not Holyrood Palace but it is ours!
