Conditions of Let

 
A booking form must be filled in and signed (regular users need only fill in one at the beginning of each new session but all dates must be given).
 
24hrs notice is required for cancellation of any booking.  Failure to notify of cancellation will result in payment being due.
 
The minimum age for hiring the Hall is 18.  If the Hall is to be used by under 18 year olds there must be an identified responsible adult in charge of the function. 
 
All setting up and clearing away must be done by you.  Any damages or breakages will be added to your invoice.
 
The Hall will be provided in a clean and tidy condition.  It is the responsibility of the person booking the Hall to see that it is left in the same condition at the end of the let.  Please note the following:
 
All floor surfaces must be hoovered/swept after every session.  If spills occur these must be wiped up immediately.
 
Chairs and tables, if used, should be wiped down and returned to storeroom after every use.  Please note 12 chairs should be left in the Hall stacked by the piano).
 
Kitchen worktops should be wiped down and the kitchen left in a clean and tidy condition.  Please note there are no towels or teatowels provided – please bring your own.
 
All socket covers must be replaced after every use.
 
The heating system may be adjusted to suit by using the thermostat controls on individual radiators.    Please note these must be put back to setting number 1 at the end of each let.
 
The sound system and stage must not be used without the prior notification of the Committee.
 
Anyone selling alcohol on the premises must have organised an appropriate Licence from the Authorities.  This must be displayed on the notice board within the Hall.
 
Event organisers are responsible for making sure that no person under 18 consumes alcohol on the premises.
 
The entire building and grounds are no smoking areas.
 
Anyone found to have used or allowed the use of drugs or any other banned substance will be reported to the Police and banned from using the premises.
 
All hirers must familiarise themselves with all fire extinguisher points and fire exits.
 
Anyone found to have tampered with or disconnected a fire alarm/fire fighting equipment will be asked to pay any charges incurred.
 
At no time should any fire door be wedged open or blocked.
 
Nothing will be put on walls or any equipment used which might contravene fire safety.  No sellotape, tacks or bluetack to be used on walls.  No pictures to be hung on walls without the prior consent of the Committee.  Any notices should be hung on the notice boards provided.
 
No parking is permitted within the Hall gates.
