Welcome to the Border Hound Trail Association, official web site. This site is designed for members and followers of hound trailing in the borders. If you wish to know more about hound trailing there is a section on 'what is hound trailing?' and the history of the association, which are worth a read.

The site lists all the local trails, normally about 3 or 4 per week, running from March through to October. Fixtures for the 2010 season will be listed in the UP COMING EVENTS section approximately two months prior so you can plan which events to compete in or just come and spectate.

Over the coming months we will add maps and locations of the various venues for the season which can be downloaded so you can find the trails. For those of you who are new enthusiasts some of the trails take a bit of finding, but once you arrive at the venue we can promise you breathtaking scenery as well as a great day out.

We have also included a brief report from the Trail Hound Trust – which valiantly re homes trail hounds once their racing careers are ended. If you would more details of their work contact details are listed.

The members section includes details on the commitee, annual reports and the latest Presidents Report which gives an insight into achievements last year and expectations for the coming season. Registration forms for new puppies are also incouded in this section.

The role of honour going back to when records began is listed which will be updated annually as well as regualr updates to the league tables during the season.
