Dalarran nursing home in Langholm has been given £100 for the residents from Mary Irving of the Border Hound Trail Associatio.
Thomas Hope Hospital will recieve £100, Langholm parish church £100 and Langhom day centre £200.
Dalarran staff nurse Susan MacKenzie, along with two of the residents Carrie Ewart and Minnie Coxon, reciced the money on behalf of the reidents and said they were very grateful for the gift.
Mary said they gave the money every year and the funds were raised from the March to October hound trails held at Middle Moss, Caret Rigg, Lodge Gill and Copshawholm, she said myself, my sister Marti Borthwick and Jenny Horn all members of the Border Hound Traing Association , organise the trails and the fundraising which includes raffles and soup kitchens We get a lot of sponsorship from local people which is a great help and we would like to thank them for giving their support
