NURSERY MANAGERAlison Murphy, the Nursery Manager, joined the Nursery in August 2008. She has loads of experience working with children in a variety of child care settings. She is a mother of three and understands how parents feel when leaving their children at nursery for the very first time. CARE COMMISSION REPORTIn March 2009, there was an unannounced Care Commission Inspection. Eddleston Pre-School Nursery has always received very favourable Care Commission Reports and in this latest report, the Nursery was graded 5 out of 6. This is a reflection of the hard work and committment of the staff and committee. The only recommendation was for the staff to attend an Infection Training Course and this is being arranged. HALLOWEEN PARTY HELLO PUPPIES
Some lovely puppies came to visit us. We were very gentle with them and we all had a fun time playing together 101 DALMATIONS Don't you just love our 101 Dalmations float - we won joint first prize with the Out of School Club in the Children's Festival. Cruella looks really scary!

Left over jumble went to Sense Scotland/Red Cross in Peebles. Didn't stay this tidy for long but we were too busy to take pictures once we opened the doors! FUNDRAISING The Nursery have been working hard over the last year to raise funds for an outdoor play area following on the extension of the Village Hall and these have included the publication and sale of a Recipe Book called "The Very Good Little Cookbook. There are still a few copies of the book left and if you would like to purchase a copy please contact the nursery or a member of the committee. (Cost £5). Other fund raising events included a Bingo Night in February and in June the children will do a sponsored "teddy toddle". Many thanks for all your support in raising funds for this very worthwhile cause.
