Eddleston Flower Show September 2008

Some of the lovely prize winning fuschias on display.  The annual competition was once again very well supported both from within the village and from all over the country

Eggs for Breakfast

Don't they look tasty.  All from free range and happy chickens!

 Plants for Sale

The Plant sale at the end of May 2008 was well attended with a total of £340 made on the day.  Many thanks to everyone involved. Funds raised will be split between Eddleston Horticultural Society and Leadburn Community Woodland to help both continue their excellent work

Eddleston Horticultural Society

The Horticultural Scoiety has been going for many years and holds a plant sale usually in May and a Flower Show in September each year.  Always great days out with lots of trophies to win.  While the show is a great success, fresh ideas and new members are always welcome so if you would like to help with the 2009 show, do please get in touch

On the committee are:

  • Jo Oliver - President
  • Betty McTier
  • J Jacek
  • Marion Smellie
  • Sara Mackinnon
  • Alison Stewart
  • Margot Porter
  • Avril Spray

Here are some photos taken at the Annual Flower Show.  As well as flowers and plants, there are a range of classes both for locals and for the experts, not forgetting a special children's section.  Prizes were presented by local resident and music teacher Lorraine Mulholland
