GYP Borders is dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people aged 10-18 build a more fulfilling future by eliminating barriers and providing motivation, support and resources to change their outlook. We offer a number of programmes aimed at supporting these young people to overcome their present difficulties, leading them towards social inclusion. To achieve agreed outcomes for the referred vulnerable young people, GYP Borders offer three projects, the projects are varied and innovative to offer a variety of methods of engagement with the young people. CHANCE 4 CHANGE - befriending/mentoring. Trained adult volunteers are matched with young people to improve and sustain smooth transitions for referred young people. "STABLE LIFE" - horse therapy. This project uses the horse and his environment to stimulate, enhance and enable young people to reflect on the impact of their own behaviour. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES - learning skills for life. Offer a range of specialist programmes, support young people to address issues which affect their future enabling them to make positive choices.
