To ascertain, co-ordinate and express to Scottish Borders Council, as the Local Authority for its area, other public authorities and any other body; the views of the community which the Community Council represents in relation to matters for which those authorities are responsible. To make known within the community such information as may be received from Scottish Borders Council and other local authorities. To take such action in the interests of the community as appears to it to be expedient and practicable. Monthly meetings; organise various activities for the community over the months of the year; maintain local traditions; respond to community consultation documents;
We hold monthly meetings alternating between Gordon & Westruther Village Halls. We encourage people to come along and participate. Dates for meetings are posted on the village notice board.
