WRVS delivers practical support through the power of volunteering so older people get more out of life. The Scottish Borders Community Transport project provides low cost transport provided by volunteers using their own vehicles to take people who cannot access public transport to shops, doctors, hairdressers etc.
Activities include: Good Neighbours, Community Transport, Guiding Services, Lunch Club, Community Club, Home Library Services, Meals on Wheels, Hospital Coffee Shop, Hospital Shop, Social Centre, Home from Hospital, Emergency Response.
Current Services: Community Transport, Social Centres, Hospital Trolleys, Community Trolleys, Community Clubs, Books on Wheels, Emergency Response.
