The advancement of the education of the public through the conservation, development and promotion of interest in the Roman remains at Newstead (Trimontium, the place of the three Hills) in the context of Scotlands place in the Roman Emprire - and the operation of a museum to tell the tale and activities to compliment it.
The Trimontium Walk, weekly, guided, April - October 31st plus Tuesdays July and August, Tea included in price in Newstead Village Hall. Provide vists for schools with pre visit information also Roman Heritage Centre in Melrose open daily Easter to October 10.30am to 4.30pm (Closed 1-2pm Lunch) Provide speakers for local interested groups.
