Arthritis Research Awareness Month takes place in October 2012. 

Here in the Scottish Borders, the Melrose branch of Arthritis Research UK (ARUK) is inviting groups across the region to get involved by organising fundraising events to support the vital work of this national organisation, in the October Challenge.

 It’s up to your group to decide the best way to raise money in your own area - it could be a raffle, sponsored sports event, Zumba marathon or a coffee morning, or whatever else you can think of.

Organisations that raise funds will get the chance to present the proceeds of their efforts to a senior representative from ARUK at a celebration event in November, and receive a certificate to mark their achievement.
