The Panel covers the former Ettrick &Lauderdale Council area. It offers advice and practical support to anyone in that area.
Recent projects have included setting up the first local no cold calling zone in Galashiels, supplying information and personal alarms at events in supermarkets and taking a stall at Freshers Week in Heriot Watt University.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Council buildings in Gala from 5.45 to 6.45. Anyone interested in joining the Panel should contact :
