Border Voices on Border Ruins:
An anthology by members of Borders Writers' Forum
This new Border Voices collection is a rich mixture of stories, tales, history and poetry inspired by places, people and landscape in the Scottish Borders, some familiar, others less well known.
Far from just reflections of a turbulent and colourful history that shaped the Scottish Borders, contributing members of the Borders Writers’ Forum display and understanding of the diverse forces that moulded our past and unlock a real appreciation of the Borders today.

Border Voices, the first Borders Writers' Forum 'taster' anthology was published in 2009. Copies are available from BWF Committee members.
The poems and short stories in this booklet were written by members for our Christmas meeting which was unfortunately cancelled due to gales. It was decided to put the work into a booklet and circulate to all members as an unusual, and hopefully enjoyable, Christmas card.
This booklet was compiled for the BWF event at the Borders Book Festival at which the poetry and prose winners of our Illness and the Child Competition were presented with their prizes.
The winning entries were-
Varicella Sonnet by Fiona Colton
The Posset by David Allen
